By providing accommodation for missionaries, we play a vital role in caring for the missionary community in times when they require emergency and other medical treatment, families awaiting childbirth, needing respite or counseling due to a trauma suffered, school retreats, temporary accommodation when working, training or studying in the local area.

Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge consists of fully self-contained units, bunkhouse rooms and campground located in a rainforest nature reserve. It's an hour and a half drive north-west of Cairns and just 30min from Port Douglas in the rural community of Julatten at an altitude of 440m making it cooler than nearby coastal regions.
The Lodge is ideal for nature based activities such as bird watching and wildlife photography. It has walking tracks through five hectares (12 acres) of grounds consisting of rainforest, open grassed orchard and permanent waters of Bushy Creek.
Over 220 species of birds have been recorded at the Lodge and adjacent area plus many other animals such as striped and green ringtail possums, northern and long-nosed bandicoots, giant white-tail rats, Boyd's forest dragon, amethystine pythons plus many frog, butterfly and moth species.
